CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Bad weather didn't stop folks from gathering at the Centre County Courthouse Wednesday morning for a Veterans Day ceremony. Veterans from the Bellefonte VFW and other veterans organizations hosted the annual event in Bellefonte. A Methodist pastor from Lock Haven, who is also a veteran, offered messages of hope and encouragement to those who gathered. Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Police have charged a Bellefonte woman after she was accused of giving methamphetamine to children and bathing them in bleach as a result of her drug-induced paranoia. Bellefonte Borough police say Tara Auman, 33, faces multiple misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors and child endangerment, according to online court documents. Fire in Pennsylvania hotel sends 5 to hospital

COUDERSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Fire officials say five people were taken to a hospital for treatment after an early morning fire at a northern Pennsylvania hotel that dates back to the 19th century. The blaze on the third floor of the Hotel Crittenden in downtown Coudersport in Potter County was reported shortly after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A man has been acquitted of all charges in the shooting death of the son of a high-ranking police official during a brawl at a south Philadelphia park three years ago. A Common Pleas Court jury on Wednesday acquitted 22-year-old Tyquan Atkinson of murder, criminal conspiracy and weapons offenses in the March 2019 death of 20-year-old Nicholas Flacco at FDR park.
