3 people injured in Connecticut facility explosion, fire

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (TND) — Three people were injured in an explosion and fire in Connecticut Friday. Bridgeport Fire Department Chief, Lance Edwards, said crews responded to a structure fire at Tradebe Environmental Services around 2 p.m. Edwards said the explosion occurred when a delivery person opened up a valve to an oxidizer, triggering an explosion. Ebensburg Borough to reopen swimming pool June 13

Macy's to close stores in State College, Harrisburg

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — Macy's has decided to close two of its Pennsylvania stores, according to a company spokesperson. Macy's Director of Media Relations Carolyn Cohen said Monday the department store chain decided to close Macy's Nittany Store in State College and the Macy's Harrisburg East Mall store in Harrisburg. Cohen says a clearance sale will begin in January and run for about 8 to 12 weeks. Water break damages part of Windber's historic Arcadia Theater

WINDBER, Pa. (WJAC) — Residents of Windber, Somerset County, may have seen firetrucks outside of the Arcadia Theater on Graham Ave. Wednesday evening. The theater is home to many performances and plays. According to theater officials, a sprinkler pipe broke in the generator room causing water to soak many parts of the historic building. Clearfield community mourning loss of local theater employee following fire

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Residents and community members in Clearfield Borough are mourning the loss of of one of their own following a fire earlier this week. The Ritz Theater confirmed on its Facebook page that Fred Brown, who was a longtime employee of the theater, passed away Wednesday night.
