BROCKWAY - Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania announced Tuesday that they'll be closing four camps across the state on March 31, including Camp Curry Creek in Jefferson County. Punxsutawney Rotary Club plants 2,000 trees at reservoir

PUNXSUTAWNEY - The Punxsutawney Rotary Club volunteered to plant more than 2,000 trees at the Punxsutawney Reservoir Friday. The tree-planting event was held by the Jefferson County Conservation District and Pennsylvania American Water. Watershed specialist Grace Presselato said the trees were planted near the stream to help stabilize eroded banks and improve water quality. West Virginia grandparents charged with neglect after teen found in 'skeletal state'

BOONE COUNTY, W. Va. (WCHS) — The grandparents of a 14-year-old West Virginia girl who was found in a “skeletal state” have been charged in the investigation. Jerry, 75, and Donna Stone, 76, were taken into custody Monday morning by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and charged with child neglect causing death. Former Bedford DA elected to Bedford County Republican chair

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Former Bedford County district attorney Bill Higgins says he's been elected the next chair of the Bedford County Republican Committee. Higgins served as the county's district attorney from 2004 to 2018, which is when he was charged for misconduct related to trading lighter sentence recommendations for sexual favors from drug dealers and their friends. PSU student charged for allegedly posting bomb threat on social media app

University Park, PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Centre County say a Penn State student is facing charges after he allegedly posted a bomb threat on the social media app Yik Yak. Police say Henry Hyduke, 20, of Fair Haven, New Jersey, faces one misdemeanor count of making terroristic threats to cause a serious public inconvenience, according to online court records. BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — Victim statements were released for the Lori Vallow Daybell case on Friday. According to court documents, there are four named victims, Tylee Ryan, Joshua Jaxon Vallow (JJ), Tamara Daybell and the United States government. A jury determined Tylee, JJ and Tamara all died by homicide. Idaho law says the victims’ rights may be applied equally to the immediate families of homicide victims.
