Blair Co. officials preparing for annual homeless population count; volunteers welcome

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — The Blair County Community Action Program is getting ready to conduct its annual count of homeless people in the area. The count, which will take place on Wednesday, is a requirement from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. HUD takes the numbers and uses them to determine how much funding will be allocated to help the homeless. Mother among 2 arrested after 12-year-old girl escapes trafficking attempt

FON DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WLUK) — Two people are in custody, including the victim's mother, after a young girl allegedly escaped a child trafficking situation in Wisconsin. Shortly before 12:15 a.m. Sunday, deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence in the town of Oakfield for a sexual assault complaint. National 'End of Watch' ride makes stop in Cambria Co.; honors late sheriff's deputy

The End of Watch ride to remember police officers who died in the line of duty visited Cambria County Thursday morning.

The stop was in honor of Sheriff's Deputy Ross Dixon who died in the line of duty last year from COVID.

The ride includes a tractor-trailer containing the photos and information of police officers who died from year-to-year.

State police identify man killed in hit-and-run in Blacklick Township

BLACKLICK TOWNSHIP - The coroner's office and state police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that happened just outside of Nanty Glo Tuesday night. State police said the man who was killed is 22-year-old Jacob Hale from Mineral Point. Hale was found lying on Cardiff Road in Blacklick Township just before midnight, Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said. Centre Co. couple accused of neglecting care of young child
